GoMa WDYS

Do you want to sharpen up your ability to 'observe'?

Do you want some fun?

Or, do you simply want something to do?

Then we have the perfect activity for you!!

A quest!!

The CAT - Cavern Activity Team gave two of those WDYS to the explorers during MOUL. I quote: 'As Atrus was growing up, his grandmother Anna would ask him, "What do you see, Atrus?" Thus his observational and memory skills were sharpened, and he learned to notice details that escaped the less perceptive. ' The original thread can be found here: The Great Tree forum

Now the GAT - GoMa Activity Team proudly present this WDYS quest to all explorers.

Open Source MystOnline timing.

Chogon has posted a small update on the MOUL forums.

Hi all,

This is all pretty exciting! So many old faces. Just a quick note:

There is still work to be done to ready the sources for open source and many small details to be worked out. Things will be released in stages and I am positive that the first to be released will not happen until after the first of the year.

(BTW, it is very tempting to call it Open Source Myst Online, i.e. OSMO. But that might be confused with Cosmic.)

Thanks for everyone's support!

Chogon

Questions for Cyan thread

Lynnutte has started a Questions for Cyan thread at the Myst Online forum. Neither she nor the rest of the Guild of Messengers knows if or when Cyan will be able to answer questions, but we wanted to get the proverbial ball rolling now, and try to keep all of peoples' questions in one discussion thread.

Cyan Hands over Myst Online to the fans

The headline reads "Cyan makes it official: "Myst" now in the hands of its fans", from the Spokesman Review

Tony Fryman, CEO of Cyan Worlds, notified us that he's sending out the following release to the extended Myst Online and Uru family:

Shorah, fans of Cyan,
As you may be aware, Cyan's situation has not improved on the "resources" front. We continue to work on small projects (including "Myst" for the iPhone/iPod Touch), and it looks like we will only be able to concentrate on projects that are fully funded for the foreseeable future. Read more
